The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, including equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.

1) Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all equipment and machinery to ensure safe and optimum operating conditions for equipment.
2) Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential issues or malfunctions on equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other facility components.
3) Collaborate with the operations and production team to schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
4) Ensure compliance with all relevant food and occupational safety regulations, including proper sanitation and cleaning procedures for food manufacturing equipment.
5) Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns or malfunctions promptly to minimize production disruptions.
6) Perform any necessary building repairs and maintenance involving basic electrical, plumbing, demolition, and drywall repairs.
7) Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment performance.
8) Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks as needed.
9) Assist in continuous development and implementation of the preventative maintenance program to optimize facility operations ensuring to follow manufacturers’ recommendations for equipment PM schedules.
10) Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, and initiate procurement requests when necessary.
11) Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in food manufacturing equipment maintenance and sanitation.
12) Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and adhere to all Food Safety and Occupational Safety Protocols.
13) Other duties as assigned.

a) High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
b) Minimum 5 years’ experience working in facilities maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
c) Proven expertise in equipment sanitation and cleaning procedures specific to food manufacturing.
d) Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance systems commonly found in food manufacturing facilities.
e) Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines.
f) Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
g) Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
h) Knowledge of safety regulations governing food manufacturing facilities, including HACCP and FDA guidelines.
i) Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
j) Previous forklift experience required.
-Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm
-Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
$26 to $28 per hour
